Zero-Tolerance Drug & Alcohol Policy

A driver must not use, or be under the influence of, alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs, or any medication that impairs their ability to drive safely, at any time while logged in to the Ridelynk driver app — whether or not a rider is in the vehicle.

If you believe your driver is impaired, ask to end the trip as soon as it is safe to do so. If you are in danger, call 911. Then report it:

• In the app: open the trip, tap Report an issue, and choose “Driver seemed impaired”.
• By email: support@ridelynk.com, including the date, time and pickup location of the trip.

When a rider reports that a driver appeared impaired, Ridelynk suspends the driver's access to the app immediately, for at least the duration of the investigation. The driver cannot go online or receive trip requests until the investigation is complete.

We review the report, trip data, any other reports about the driver and the driver's response. Where the report is substantiated, the driver is permanently deactivated. If it is not substantiated, the suspension is lifted. We keep a record of every report and its outcome for at least 2 years and share it with King County or the City of Seattle on request.

• Never log in while impaired, and log out immediately if you become unfit to drive.
• Do not carry open containers of alcohol in the passenger area of your vehicle.
• Cooperate fully with any investigation.

A driver deactivated under this policy receives a written reason and may appeal under the Driver Deactivation Policy.
