Non-Discrimination Policy
Every rider is served fairly — no exceptions.
Last updated:
Effective October 2026.
Ridelynk does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. This policy applies to every driver, rider, sender and employee who uses or works on the Ridelynk platform, and it complies fully with federal, Washington State, King County and City of Seattle law.
1. Our commitment
Everyone who requests a ride or delivery through Ridelynk must be served fairly and respectfully. Drivers may not refuse, cancel, delay or treat a request differently because of who the rider is or where they are going.
2. Protected characteristics
Discrimination based on any of the following is prohibited:
- Race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry or citizenship status
- Religion or creed
- Sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression
- Age, marital status, pregnancy or parental status
- Disability (physical, sensory or mental), including the use of a service animal or mobility device
- Military or veteran status, political ideology, and any other class protected by federal, state or local law
Refusing a trip because of the pickup or drop-off neighborhood, or rating a rider unfairly on any of these grounds, is also prohibited.
3. Service animals
Drivers must transport riders who travel with a service animal. Allergies, religious beliefs or a no-pets preference are not valid reasons to refuse a service animal. A driver may not ask for proof, certification or extra fees for a service animal, and may not ask the rider about their disability.
4. Riders with disabilities
Drivers must make reasonable accommodations for riders with disabilities, including stowing folding wheelchairs, walkers, canes and other mobility devices, and allowing a rider extra time to enter or exit the vehicle. Riders who need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle can request one as described on our Accessibility page.
5. Reporting discrimination
If you believe you were treated unfairly, report it in the app (Report an issue) or email support@ridelynk.com. You can also file a complaint with King County Records & Licensing (forhiredriver@kingcounty.gov, 206-263-1982) or the City of Seattle (tnc@seattle.gov, 206-386-1267).
6. Investigation and consequences
We investigate every report. A driver or rider found to have discriminated may be warned, suspended or permanently removed from the platform. Drivers who are deactivated receive written notice and may appeal under our Driver Deactivation Policy. We do not retaliate against anyone who reports discrimination in good faith.
Quick answers
Can a Ridelynk driver refuse my service animal?
No. Drivers must accept service animals, even if they have allergies or a no-pets preference, and may not charge extra or ask for proof.
